Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center) The Edgewood Chemical Biological Center is a US Army research and development center for non-medical chemical and biological defense. According to AHS Science Department Chair and AP Biology Teacher Christine Zatalava, this educational outreach initiative afforded her class the opportunity to learn about the real-world connection between genetics taught as a part of AP biology... ABQ Academy Wins Northern NM Middle School Regional Science Bowl

What is the largest prime number less than 9? In vascular plants, what is the name of the transport tissue that primarily carries water to the plant?

These are the kinds of questions that four students of Albuquerque Academy, faced as they competed and won during Department of Energy’s 10-hour Northern New Mexico Middle School Regional Science Bowl, held Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Albuquerque Academy.

More than 125 students, divided into 29 teams, represented 13 schools from around the state of New Mexico and southern Colorado. They competed in a fast-paced “Jeopardy” style competition, answering questions about math, biology, chemistry, earth science, and astronomy.

The winning team received a $5,000 check for their school and an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in DOE’s National Science Bowl in early May.

The four students representing Albuquerque Academy were Kainoa Correa, Dylan Hendrickson, Andrew Chu, Thor Larson and team captain Dylan Hendrickson, and the team was coached by Barbara Gilbert. Second place was Los Alamos Middle school, and Eisenhower Middle School came in third.

What is a fun unique game I can use in a class of 10 students to learn biology? (ex..like jeopardy or bingo..)?

I tutor 10 students for freshman biology at a college, and want to make a fun game I can use in my tutoring sessions. The game has to facilitate learning somehow, by asking questions or drawing on the board..Something like Jeopardy, Bingo, Pictionary,

I would suggest they make their own game. By creating the format and making up the questions, they'll learn a lot.

When I was in nursing school, we created a "trivial pursuit" game using each of our subjects as categories (e.g.

jeopardy sounds like a good idea or any type of game along those lines

Does playing Jeopardy in Honors Biology really help you study for a test?

I was wondering because we have a test coming up soon in this class.

I'd think so because you're learning while doing something fun. If you're paying attention, that is.
